Antar
Dali, a stirring vocalist, appears on Perez Prado's
"Mambo King, Vol. 3," and was a prime
exponent of the son/Cuban salsa style vocal tradition.
He was first recognized in the 1950s for his performances
with Machito and His Afro-Cuban Orchestra, and
he wrote songs that were recorded by Mario Bauza,
Perez Prado/Benny More, Tito Puente/Perez Prado
(seven albums), Mongo Santamaria, Justo Betancourt,
and Johnny Ventura.
