Percussionist and LP artist, Jorge Gonzalez, has played professionally for over twenty years, and has recorded over eighty albums, six of which were Grammy-nominated. He has had the privilege of performing and recording with a number of artists including Willie Colon, Ruben Blades, Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, Larry Harlow, Ray Barretto, Juan Luis Guerra, Yomo Toro, Chico Mendoza, and numerous others. He also performed on Paul Simon’s Cape man, and has been the sub percussionist for Enrique Iglesias’s play, "4 Guys Named Jose and Una Mujer Named Maria."

Jorge has performed in numerous countries including Germany, Japan, Spain, Argentina, Columbia, Panama, Chile and the Caribbean. His greatest professional influences include Roberto Roena, Johnny Rodriguez, Chuckie Lopez, Manny Oquendo and Little Ray Romero.

Jorge sights his father, Juan Gonzalez, Jr., a noted percussionist in his own right, who always encouraged and supported Jorge’s musical pursuits, as being the person most responsible for inspiring his musical career.

Jorge plans to continue his music studies and to become more involved in the arranging and composing side of this exciting industry.
