Doudou N'Diaye Rose from Selegal in West Africa. This man could best be described as percussion royalty. It was an incredible honor for me to have the chance to meet him when he performed at The Paradiso in Amsterdam on May, 13, 1999. He was accompanied by his son, Aly N'Diaye Rose and an ensemble of over 20 sabar drummers and dancers. The music was powerful and LOUD. It was the most dynamic drumming event I ever experienced.

He is 69 years old, has 12 wives and 63 children and grandchildren. My hero!
