John Walsh is a great all around trumpet player that is pleased with how his work continues to grow since he left a day gig some 10 years ago. One of the day gigs he had reflects the quality of this man. It was in 1989 when there was an earthquake in Armenia. Being half Armenian, he felt a duty to answer the call for help by this nation in turmoil by working for the Armenian church in New York for barely any wages. |
